Remember that rumor about how Walmart was going to be selling iPhones for $99 each? Well it turns out that was overstating the discount a little bit. While Walmart did discount the iPhone 3G, it was from $199 to $197. However, for a limited time anyway, AT&T is selling $99 dollar 8GB iPhone 3G's with two year service agreement... provided you don't have a problem with them being used.

If you needed another reason to avoid buying your iPhone through AT&T... well I found another reason.

For some iPhone fans, Christmas might be coming December 28th this year.

An explosive new rumor has been making the rounds today that Walmart is going to begin selling a $99 iPhone 3G on that date. The phone would be one of those 4GB models that were discontinued soon after the original iPhone debuted, thought not the exact same phone as this one would have 3G and GPS. 

If you thought iPhone sales would slow in the wake of the T-Mobile G1 and a slew of new Blackberry products... not so much. Apple has just released it's sales figures for the last business quarter and during that period they've sold 6.9 million iPhones, more than the entire Blackberry line in the same period, and more than the 6.1 million combined first generation iPhones sold in the previous 5 quarters.

It looks like the iPhone is about to get super sized.

With retailer's reserve of 8GB iPhones seemingly having dried up to their lowest levels since the 3G launch, a rumor is circulating that the product is being quitely being out, making way for the inevitable 32GB iPhone. 

First there was Mohandas Gandhi organizing the Dandi Salt March of 1930. Then it was Rosa Parks refusing to sit at the back of the bus in 1955. And now taking a stand, is fans of a rejected iPhone application that are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore!

Not to suggest that they're full of hot, but their cause célèbre is an iPhone application called Pull My Finger. It makes farting sounds, it works on an iPhone- you've kind of got the concept. 

Sure the Apple iPhone is an AT&T exclusive, but is it not exclusive enough?

When a guy going by "markm49uk" open up his brand new iPhone in his Kingston Upon Hull England home, he found an unusual ghost in the machine. 

I don't want to tell Polish Mobile Operater PTK Centertel how to do their job, but I think customers are supposed to pay you, not the other way around.

Using a marketing technique... we'll call it unique, Centertel or Orange Poland has admitted to the AP that they hired actors to gather outside their stores, pretending to wait in line for the launch of the Polish iPhone.
