iPhone 3G launch details: launch xenophobic

So further details are coming out about the big iPhone 3G Friday, and it seems Apple and AT&T want everything but blood and stool samples.

They won't let you leave with an iPhone Friday unless they're provided with a credit card, your current wireless account number, a valid goverment issued photo ID, and perhaps most curiously, a social security.

What, so if your not born an American citizen you can't purchase an iPhone 3G? Actually no, I did some research and apparently aside from people born in this country, all permanant residents and temporary working residents are also handed social security numbers for tax purposes.

So while foreign exchange students are still left in the dark, it appears that AT&T aren't xenophobic so much as they're bias torwards tax payers, i.e they're Republican.
