blackberry free themes - how to make them yourself
In researching how to get Blackberry free themes, I found that pretty much the only way to make them for yourself was using a program called the Plazmic Content Developer's Kit for Blackberry.
It's completely free but not the easiest thing to use or download.
Downloading the developer's kit took me over an hour using a reasonably fast connection, and needs to be used in conjunction with their Blackberry Device Simulater and Blackberry Email and MDS Services Simulator. Both are also free and both also take a while do download.
Anyway, I decided to download the simulater for the Blackberry 8320 or the Blackberry Curve from T-Mobile as it's more commonly known.
Once everything was finally downloaded, I opened the Theme Builder and got to work. It's a pro level developer's program, so while it does a lot, it's not the easiest thing to use. If your fluent in Photoshop, you'll probably figure it out faster.

However, not even being good at stuff like Photoshop, I still managed to play around with such things as background image, font size, and rearranging and deleting displayed icons.
Like using this background image of Tiny Fey, I managed to rearrange the placement and size of all the application icons, including deleting the Blackberry logo, so you can actually see the background image on the phone for once.
At last, a theme design I'm relatively actually happy with!
Overall, I found making my own Blackberry free themes doable, and if I can do it, I'm sure you can to, but be prepared to spend a lot of time working on the project... there will be learning curve issues; especially if you try something more complicated on their software like making animations.
