You'd think if you were going to shell out $499 for something you'd at least know when you were going to get it, but Amazon.com is currently accepting preorders for the Nokia E63 without giving any hint when it will arrive in America (it's already been released in Europe). That's like waiting around for Guns and Roses "Chinese Democracy" album to be released... who knows when that's going to happen?

Okay, so I'll admit that it never occurred to me to put antlers and cell phones in the same sentence but this Socket-Deer concept actually sort of makes sense. 

These urethane rubber electrical outlet covers from Nendo come with their very own antlers, so while you're recharging your cell phone, you have somewhere to put it. And it comes in the antler shape of three different types of deer, so at least one of them should hold most cell phones.

The Estonian Parliament just passed a law that will allow voting by cell phone in the 2011 elections. Using free, authorized chips that have an encrypted digital signature, Estonians just have to register and pick them up at the country's SK Certification Center and when election day comes, they send in their ballot with a text message.

Introducing yet another sweet concept phone: Qian Jiang’s Softphone concept is similar, in a way, to Nokia’s format changing Morph concept from yesterday, but with echoes of those instant pop-up tents and washing baskets: collapsing to a small, clipped fabric ring, the design uses tactile gestures - such as squeezing to answer a call - and interwoven light-emitting threads to create simple menus and controls.

The phone is thin, includes a touchscreen and has a glass panel keypad that slides out of the phone when needed. However, once dropped, there is no turning back, not to mention the 7 years of bad luck.

Oh well, I guess I can safely say now that blonds predict the future.
